Thanks! Didnt even realise Dalton was in this! Varecs in any case is likely positive in terms of shareholder value creation, some other international funds also seem to be in this alrdy
Great write-up as always, Made in Japan, and thanks for flagging me.
I just finished reading this post... and found a news article that Boston Scientific is acquiring Bolt Medical, Inc...
"MARLBOROUGH, Mass., Jan. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Bolt Medical, Inc., the developer of an intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) advanced laser-based platform for the treatment of coronary and peripheral artery disease."
Thanks! I had the same confusion initially when I was researching it but this apparently is just a coincidence. BOLT Medical that Medikit refers to is a Japanese Start up focused on Neuro - it's a little confusing but no relation!
Thank you very much for the analysis. Will have a look, fits to by boring and rock solid investment area. I have to be regularely in the hospital for a blood check and several time thought that catheters should be an interesting business to invest but the used needles were from a private owned company.
Thanks - look forward to this. Quick scan shows me that Dalton were in this in 2023, though I can't see if they still are.

Is that the same Bolt Medical as in your post? If not, do you know how these businesses are related?

Yep. You can find B Braun in every hospital / medical

Thanks for the feedback! I think it's a boring, defensive business. I'd imagine bBraun might have a strong foothold in Europe!
